Description of the Turkey Jerky Below.
First I would like to say that I am the site owner. In saying that I will make my written descriptions as best can be. These are however written and the best way to know how something taste is to, actually taste the product. I do want to say that, ladies seem to prefer the turkey jerky over all the other jerky on this site. Why? I do not have the answer to that, I just know in general women tend to favor the turkey jerky. With all the jerky on this site, it is ordered in 2 bag lots, so the price you see when you go to the order page is for two (2) bags. Or you can order by the case. Have a jerky lover on a gift exchange list? The cases are the way to go.
The Turkey Jerky Flavors.
Original Turkey Jerky: The original flavor turkey jerky is very mild, no spicy taste at all. For my personal taste the original is just a little bland. Now remember I like hot stuff, with lots of pepper or habanero flavor. If you like a mild jerky in the turkey, then the original turkey jerky is for you. The original has a low calorie count, with only 60 calories per serving, 270 milligrams of sodium and a rather nice amount of protein. Coming in at 11 grams of protein. All of those are pretty good numbers when it comes to jerky. Some jerky ( like some you would get at the quick mart ) when it comes to sodium count are well over 600 milligrams. Low on the protein and high in calorie count. Premium all natural jerky is the way to go, if you are aware of and care about these numbers.
Sodium Content
When it comes to sodium (salt) all jerky has its fair share of sodium. Our jerky has one of the lowest sodium content on the market. The Turkey BBQ, Turkey Original and Turkey Teriyaki Jerky all come in at 270 mg with the Turkey Nuggets coming in at 390 milligrams - Milligram = One thousandth gram.
Turkey Nuggets: The turkey nuggets jerky are one of my favorite jerky. They are not spicy at all. More of a sweet succulent taste that comes in nugget form. Very high moisture jerky and a little glaze over each nugget. A sweet kind of glazed honey taste that will get the juice flowing from your taste buds. Again this one of my favorites. Try some today. Come in at 90 calories per serving a healthy 10 grams of protein and acceptable 390 milligrams of sodium. One of my favorites
BBQ Turkey Jerky: The BBQ flavor turkey jerky is a very mild bbq flavor thin slab style lean meat snacks. The bbq turkey is just a little dryer than the other jerky, but when compared to some of the store brands (quick mart style) it still has some good moisture content. Sodium content is very low when compare to most jerky on the market. The sodium comes in at 270 milligrams per serving with a whopping 11 grams of protein and a good calorie count at 60 calories per serving.
Teriyaki Turkey Jerky: The teriyaki flavor is a very mild teriyaki taste. I have had some brands that the teriyaki flavoring was way over the top. Leaving an almost nasty after taste in your mouth. With this turkey teriyaki, flavor is very mild with no after taste. And for a turkey meat snack, has some good moisture content. The turkey teriyaki comes in at only 60 calories per serving a very modest 270 milligrams of sodium. And a quite healthy 11 grams of protein. Sodium (Salt) Milligram = One thousandth gram. Size Of Jerky Bags
As you may know, of late. Many jerky companies are reducing the size of the bags of jerky. In other words, you get less ( oz. weight) per bag. This measure is to hold down the cost of the jerky per bag and still be competitive in the jerky market. Jerky Direct at the time of this update has not reduced the size or amount of jerky per bag. If things change, I will get them posted and changed on all the above jerky A.S.A.P. To double check, when placing your order on any order page.
